ALTARE DEFENCE

 

 

In order to get to Di Altare Defence, it is possible to take State Road N° 29: Colle di Cadibona, or Highway A6 Savona - Torino, to the Altare exit and head towards the town. Piazza di Altare, built in the 1885 – 1890 period, includes the Fort di Altare complex (Fort Tecci, Fort Cascinotto and Tagliata), Fort Monte Burot and the small support battery of Monte Baraccone.
